Meet the Executives

Gary Treisman

President and CEO

Gary started Machinery Network in 1987 and has managed, appraised, and sold over $1 billion worth of machinery and related industrial assets. As the machine sales industry has grown, Gary along with our team created Machinery Network Auctions to work with clients to auction or liquidate their surplus assets. Gary received his education at University of the Witwatersrand (Jnb, South Africa). He was a successful  stock broker from 1982 to 1987. Gary sat on the board for Locator Machinery and has held several leadership roles in multiple business organizations. He is an active member of MDNA and AMEA.

Dean Kampel

Executive Vice president - Machine Tool Division

As Executive Vice President at Machinery Network, Inc. (MN), I work closely with our customers in OEM, tier one and large job shops in aerospace & defense, mold die, medical and various other metalworking and plastics manufacturers and other metal working industries. As EVP/managing partner, my responsibilities also include overseeing all daily operations and management of our machine tool division. 

Seth Geller

Vice President - Plastic Machinery Sales

I joined Machinery Network in 1995 and have been managing their plastics machinery division ever since. I am originally from Long Island NY, home of the two greatest sports teams the NY Yankees and the NY Rangers. My goal in this business has always been to make customers feel so comfortable with me that you can deal with me over the phone without ever meeting me and still have the confidence to make a large used machinery purchase knowing that you are in good hands and will be provided with a great deal and superior service. When I am not making customers amazing deals on machines I am home yelling at my TV when Hockey or Football is on or out playing Hockey or other athletic activities.

Harvey Gellar

Vice President - Fabricating Machinery Sales

I have been in the used machinery business since 1974, and cofounded Best Machinery, inc in New York. After selling my interest to my partner I moved to California and joined Machinery Network in 1988 to specialize in Fabricating Machinery. When not working, I enjoy riding my horse and watching the L.A. Lakers.

 

Jeff Lee

Vice President - Appraisals & Boring, Grinding & Tool Room Machinery Sales

Employed by Machinery Network since 1996. I have been an Association of Machinery and Equipment Appraisers (AMEA) Accredited Appraiser since 2005 and Treasurer - (West Coast Regional Chapter) of the Machinery Dealers National Association from 1999-2002 and January 2005-present. I have bought and sold several hundred machines including, but not limited too, CNC and conventional machining centers, mills and lathes, boring mills, grinders, EDM’s, water-jets, woodworking machinery and inspection machinery, including CMM’s & Comparators. I work closely with our auction team and have been involved in several multi-machine shop liquidations and auctions. Originally from Colorado where I studied at my Almost Mater, University of Colorado, Boulder, CO.

Eric Raffin

Vice President of Auction Services

I joined Machinery Network Auctions after 7 years as founding partner and managing member of a successful, post-conviction, sentencing and criminal trial consulting firm in Los Angeles. Prior to that, I spent over 20 years in executive level sales and marketing. I graduated with honors from UCLA and earned my law degree from Loyola Law School. With my background and experience, I bring a fresh and dynamic approach to providing MNA’s new and existing clients the service and professional attention they have come to expect. I’m originally from Oregon, but I’ve lived in Los Angeles since 1984 and I’m proud to say that I plan to forever call this wonderful city home.

Edgar Gomez

Operations Manager / Sales Engineer- Central & South America

At Machinery Network for over a decade, Edgar works closely with the sales team to ensure the flow of new and sold inventory is accounted for with daily checkups through our sales team and their respective clients. He is also responsible for the marketing and advertising of inventory in various metalworking and manufacturing related publications and media. Edgar strives for innovation and exceeding expectations as displayed in his personal and professional life.

Applicants must have experience selling new and/or used equipment. Applicants must be prepared to undergo a background and reference check. Please submit your most current resume/CV, salary history, and a list of work references.

SALARY + COMMISSION is commensurate with experience.

Machinery Dealers National Association (MDNA)

Machinery Network, Inc. proudly displays the emblem of the Machinery Dealers National Association. MDNA was established in 1941 to assure buyers of the integrity and reliability of used machinery dealers that are members of the association. The MDNA Code of Ethics underwriting this emblem describes the essence of the spirit and standards to which Machinery Network adheres.


Association of Machinery and Equipment Appraisers (AMEA)

AMEA is a nonprofit professional association that accredits and certifies appraisers of machinery and equipment. Accredited appraisers must have a minimum of five years of buying, selling and appraising experience; certified appraisers must have at least seven. Members also must be employed by a company that is a member of the Machinery Dealers National Association (MDNA).


National Auctioneers Association (NAA)

Founded in 1949, NAA is the world’s largest professional association dedicated to auction professionals. Headquartered in Overland Park, Kan., the NAA represents the interests of thousands of auction professionals in the U.S., Canada and across the world.

The NAA is a membership-based organization and represents a range of auction professionals who service a variety of industries. The association is dedicated to providing its members with educational programming and resources to help them advance themselves and, in turn, the industry. Members of the NAA abide by a strict Code of Ethics and are connected with an extensive network of auction professionals.
